for:
Manufacturing plants.
When hazardous gases are released
during manufacturing processes, employees need to be given the tools to monitor exposure and let them know when they need to leave an area to prevent negative health effects.
Labor unions. Manufacturing workers such as steelworkers are continuously exposed to hazardous gases. When inhaled, these gases can lead to severe health problems, hefty medical bills, and increased insurance premiums. Keep employers accountable and your members safe by supplying them with Metiorite when they are exposed to buildups and unsafe concentrations of dangerous gases.
Professionals.
Steelworkers and other manufacturing professionals who are constantly exposed to high concentrations of hazardous gases need Metiorite to monitor their exposure levels. Metiorite visibly alerts employees when they need to leave an area to prevent or minimize future health problems.
Manufacturing risks
Workers are continuously exposed to dangerous gases that lead to severe health problems, including lung cancer, but they are unable to determine when they should evacuate an area to protect their health.
There are 100,000 steelworkers in Canada, and they all enter hazardous areas in their plants throughout their workdays. Lung cancer is 500% more common among iron and steelworkers due to the high amounts of carcinogens and hazardous gases in their work areas.
One of the greatest risks of steel and metal production is exposure to high concentrations of hazardous gases such as methane, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and phosphine. Individual gas detectors are seldom available for steelworkers and are difficult to use. Electronic gas detectors that are stowed on uniforms or in pockets are challenging to look at when working near furnaces heated to 1300 degrees Celsius

How it Works
Always visible, always on,
always ready.
MetioRITE is a wearable, personal gas detector that measures and alarms when hazardous gas buildups and concentrations are detected inside an individual’s protective gear. It is designed for steelworkers in high-risk environments who are exposed to dangerous levels of gases that can lead to intoxication and asphyxiation.

ALL-IN-ONE
Measures most common gases
Metiorite test stickers detect the buildup and total accumulation of 8 of the most hazardous gases present in steel manufacturing plants. The stickers contain chemical reagents that change their color to notify workers when dangerous concentrations are detected. This eliminates any need to check external electronic devices that are often inaccessible when working in the more dangerous areas of plants.
Our stickers are affordable and easy to use; simply peel them off and stick them to the inside of glasses or
protective face shields to measure the buildups and total accumulations of hazardous gases that are present
during steelmaking.
How it WARNS
At the start of each shift, each worker applies a MetioRITE gas detection sticker inside their face shield, ensuring that it always remains visible. The indication squares change color when the concentrations of monitored gases reach dangerous levels. If two squares change color, the employee must immediately leave the area, follow decontamination protocols, and notify superiors. Used MetioRITE stickers must be replaced. Hazardous gas indication examples:
1
Take one detector
from the blister
2
Stick it to the internal surface of the protection shield
3
Remove the protection
film from the internal surface
4
Observe the indicator and leave the area if it turns red
A sticker is only 3.25 x 0.6 inches (8 x 1.5 centimeters) in size and will not block the user’s view when attached on the inside of a protective screen. A worker can react immediately if the sticker color changes to red.

* - These include gas detectors made by various brands that monitor gas concentrations in manufacturing plants/areas. The problem is that they are installed in specific areas and do not monitor the concentrations of gas immediately around the employees in the areas where the employees spend the most time.
