How it works
Metiorite uses a colorimetric gas detection sticker that works by absorbing surrounding air into threads coated with reagent dyes. Hazardous gas concentrations and buildups are visible to the naked eye.
Baseline 50 ppm. 100 ppm. 500 ppm. 1000 ppm
Our approach provides a low-cost method of sampling for known hazardous gases and chemical vapors during every shift of workers exposed to such substances.
Gas sensing demonstration for different concentrations of ammonia
We use different reagent-dyed threads for each gas, but they all change to red to make it easy for the wearer to determine when it is time to vacate an area. Metiorite gas detector stickers are pre-calibrated and do not require any setup to be used effectively.

According to the Oil & Gas Journal, "Companies that are using advanced technologies to manage safety and operations performance are reported to have 8% less unscheduled asset downtime (over those who do not), experience a 13% reduction in compliance-related costs, 8% fewer regulation citations, and realize operating margins 2% or greater than targeted in the corporate plan.”
